National Memorial
Work on the memorial has now commenced, with earthworks
being underway.
The dedication ceremony will be held on
Wednesday September 8th 2010.
John Piep, of SA State Branch is arranging a deal with a
bus company, with the cost to include
transport, motel accommodation and most meals - leaving
Adelaide on Monday 6th September &
returning on Thursday September 9th - the cost will be
$485- per head.
The more people that attend, the cheaper the fares will
become. Full details will appear in the Nasho News May edition.
If you attend HQ at Keswick, see John for full details.
He will also be arranging a time payment scheme for
members who wish to attend to be able to pay the fare off over the next 15
months to ease the financial burden somewhat. See John at HQ for further
particulars.
There will be arrangements to pick
up at both the Riverland & Broken Hill (at Mildura) members en route.

The future of the NSAA
The National Servicemen's Association of Australia will undertake an
Australian wide drive to attract 1960's Nashos. It will
concentrate on the so called "Lost Legion" of Nashos who served in Malaysia,
PNG & Australia. The recruiting campaign will be discussed by the National
Council to secure the Association's future. The publicity for the 2010
dedication in Canberra will provide a good springboard to send out the
message.
On the money!
The Royal Australian Mint in Canberra has commenced
design work on a collector's coin marking the dedication of the National
Service Memorial in Canberra in September 2010. Further details of this
memorabilla coin will be available in future bulletins.
